In my 2.5 years of iPhone ownership, I’ve never experienced one of these before. I’ve gotten weird spam messages like the one attached maybe 2-3 times, but that’s about it.

I get those from time to time. Accidentally tapped a link when I was trying to scroll; got a pop up that wouldn’t go away unless I called a number. Said “nope”, closed browser, went to settings for safari, and deleted cookies and data. Problem solved. The one I've been getting most recently is the website refreshes and I just get something like a comic book image. Thought maybe I got too crazy with my taps or something but it happens to my gf too.

Yeah I have ad block on Google Chrome on my desktop so good to know I can get it on the phone too, but this was on the standard internet app, not the google chrome app, which I use now.
